We talked all about feelings….what makes you mad, embarrassed, happy or shocked for example. The kids had some many experience that they talked about. The kids couldn’t hardly control themselves they wanted to tell all of their stories.

After reading and singing the book “The Wheels on the Bus” the kids then had to put their own type of people or animals in their bus. Look there are even animals on top of the bus, do you think maybe that is because we live in Indonesia and people and animals sometimes are hanging on the outside of the bus?

100th day of School

Wow….we had a great day. The kids all were allowed to wear whatever they wanted to school because it was their celebration of the 100th day of school! They brought it their hundreds collections and we iced 100 cupcakes and of course counted them. Then we continued on to make a 100 word quilt…..what a successful day and what a way to celebrate their learning!

This week we read the big book/rhyme Ten Little Monkeys and the kids loved it. We acted it out and then the kids had to write the subtraction problem with the idea of 10 monkeys started off jumping on the bed. If 3 fell off how many would be left on the bed? Fun!!

Last week I used the my regular whiteboard as my computer was getting fixed. The kids were not impressed as they knew they wouldn’t be able to move around anything or interact with it. They almost turned off completely! They asked why are you using that old thing!!! Ha ha ha children tell you how it is!
